Futura‘s latest Nike SB Dunk Low collaboration is beginning its rollout. The highly anticipated sneaker from the graffiti artist and longtime Nike SB partner is now listed for raffle through Futura’s website and will become available from more channels through next week.
Having been leaked for months with two colorways, the Futura Laboratories x Nike Dunk Low will only release in a blue colorway. The red colorway that’s been shown is exclusive to friends an family.
Canvas forms the majority of the Dunk’s upper, with white serving as the base through the underlays. Futura’s artwork then forms most of the overlays save for a green suede Swoosh and a grey mustache. His signature appears near the lateral heel while the medial side features his brand’s “FL” mark. The latter mark is also used for a co-branded tongue tag and in a repeated pattern on the insole. A white midsole features aqua contrast stitching while sitting above a light blue translucent outsole.
Futura began working with Nike SB just a year after the Swoosh launched its skateboarding line. His first collaboration, a Dunk Low that looks relatively plain today, came out in 2003 and was followed by a more lively Dunk High a year later featuring his artwork across the upper. Virgil Abloh brought also brought Futura into the fold for a three-way collaboration that released exclusively and with just eight pairs made available through an auction in 2023 with half of the proceeds going to charity.
The Futura Laboratories x Nike SB Dunk Low is available now through a raffle on Futura’s website accepting entries through Wednesday, May 15. Extra Butter is also hosting a raffle open through Friday, May 17, while skate shops are also expected to release the sneaker Saturday, May 18. Nike’s Snkrs app will then host its own drop on May 22. Pricing is set at $135.
