Have you ever considered spending $200 on a pair of designer jeans? In this video, we dive into the designer denim world and see what you really get for a high end pair of jeans over the affordable brand that nearly every American has worn.

Jeans are an American fashion staple. And specifically, the brand Levi Strauss & Co. is iconic. No one would say that Levi’s are a low quality brand, but they can be found at bargain bin prices. Though the average MSRP for a pair of Levi’s is $60 to 70, we often see pairs hit the Slickdeals Frontpage at prices of $30 or less. Comparatively, many high end designers sell jeans at well over $150.We wanted to find out if the average consumer could tell the differences between affordable and premium denim. So we grabbed two pairs of Citizens Of Humanity jeans, which average around $200 per pair, to compare to our two pairs of Levi’s. We spent a week testing out the jeans, researched and spoke to experts about the brands, materials, and prices to help you understand what you’re getting for your money. And we discovered a bombshell about one of the brands that EVERY savvy shopper should know. WhichWon? Levi’s or Citizens Of Humanity?
