Reese Witherspoon virtually attended the 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards.
The actress rocked a red lipstick from Pat McGrath Labs to celebrate the night.
The creamy matte lipstick is highly pigmented and completed Witherspoon’s classic red carpet look.
Attending the 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards looked a little different for celebrities this year, but the COVID-19 pandemic hasn’t completely paused the glitz and glamour of Hollywood. One of our favorite looks of the night came from Little Fires Everywhere actress Reese Witherspoon who rocked a bold red lip and classic black dress for the big event. *Swoon*

Ahead of the 2020 virtual awards show, Witherspoon had her whole glam squad on deck (you know, in her yard) to get her Emmys ready. The team wore face masks and made sure Witherspoon took all the proper safety precautions. But the real fun began with makeup and hair prep.
The look? Timeless red carpet. Makeup artist Kelsey Deenihan began the process with the Pat McGrath Skin Fetish: Sublime Perfection Foundation, followed with the brand’s concealer and powder, per a press release.
For a show stunner, she defined Witherspoon’s lips with Pat McGrath PermaGel Ultra Lip Pencil in Major Red and topped it off with the Pat McGrath MatteTrance Lipstick in Elson 2.
At $38 a tube, Witherspoon’s Emmy look can totally be yours. While many matte lipsticks tend to dry out your lips, the MatteTrance Lipstick defies the odds. With a creamy texture that’s designed to hydrate, this lipstick actually swipes on smoothly and has a bright, pigmented hue that’s knockout gorgeous. The formula also comes in 30 different shades, allowing you to get the look and then some.
As for her hair, stylist Lona Vigi used Virtue products to give Witherspoon a tousled look. She applied a dose of the brand’s Healing Oil before adding in Volumizing Mousse and the Finale Shaping Spray.
Witherspoon virtually attended the Emmys from her lawn alongside her Little Fires Everywhere co-star Kerry Washington and some friends. In an Instagram post, she captioned her glam picture: “Shortest #Emmys commute yet! Bringing the festivities to my lawn and excited to celebrate the incredible cast and crews of @themorningshow, @biglittlelies and @littlefireshulu tonight! ✨ @hellosunshine @televisionacad.”
When chatting with Emmys host Jimmy Kimmel, Witherspoon and Washington revealed that their socially-distanced lawn party was also a twofer to ring in the New Year. The theme was definitely on point with 2021 glasses and gold streamers.

Witherspoon told Kimmel they went with the theme because “we’re ready for this year to be over.” (Same!) So, when he asked if they could just fast forward to the end of 2020, Witherspoon had the perfect response: “Well, yeah, I mean, we’re Emmy-nominated television producers.”
