You Can Buy Bailey's Ground Coffee Now

As future Great British Bake Off co-presenter Noel Fielding once asked while dressed like a merman named Old Gregg, “d’you like Bailey’s?” Well, if you love Bailey’s enough that you’d willingly drink it from a shoe, then oh boy do I ever have some coffee for you.

That’s right you can now buy coffee grounds specifically engineered to mimic the taste of Bailey’s. Spotted by Instagram account @DadBodSnacks at midwest grocery chain Meijer, it sure looks like you can brew your very own cup of Bailey’s-flavored morning happiness. Made from 100% arabica beans, this light roast is perfect for anyone who loves dessert liqueur but realizes that they have real, adult responsibilities that they need to handle with a little help from caffeine.

As you’d imagine, this isn’t the first time the Irish cream liqueur has forged a partnership with everyone’s favorite (nominally) non-alcoholic beverage. Based on @DadBodSnaks’ caption, Bailey’s has branched out into the world of canned cold brew in the recent past. Bailey’s has also been transformed into both cupcakes and baking chips in the recent past.

The move also comes at a time when booze and coffee seem more intertwined than ever. Jameson and Jagermeister have both infused their alcohol with cold brew over the past year or so, and Pabst Blue Ribbon also has its own infusion of cheap beer and coffee. Apparently, adding coffee is some sort of loophole around the whole “mixing alcohol and caffeine is bad” lesson many of us learned the hard way via OG-formulation Four Loko.

If you want to spike your Bailey’s-flavored home-brewed coffee, you’re going to have to do it the old fashioned way. But if you wish you were day drinking but know that you shouldn’t, you’d be hard-pressed to find a better option than this. It’s 5 AM somewhere.
