Busy Philipps Just Shut Down Someone Who Tried to Mom-Shame Her New Tattoo

It's difficult to remember a time when we didn't have Busy Philipps's Instagram feed and Stories as a near-constant source of entertainment. Before she was the host of her own show, Busy Tonight, there was the show on the ’gram.

But with or without a show, we can count on Philipps to continue to give fans a refreshingly real look at everything from her workouts to adorable moments with her daughters, Birdie and Cricket, to life behind the scenes at her talk show. And if she's getting a tattoo, then her followers are along for the ride. Recently, Philipps shared that she got new ink — an illustration from her memoir, This Will Only Hurt a Little, that reads, "fuck em."

"My favorite illustration drawn by @mcfetridge for my book #thiswillonlyhurtalittle (it's in the A Movie Script Ending chapter)," she wrote in the caption. "Tattooed beautifully by @dre.dayli in Dallas at @thirdeyegallery last night. And weirdly true to form and as things always tend to be, it really always only hurts a little. ❤️"

But one commenter questioned the new ink, as pointed out by Comments by Celebs. "I'm not judging," the commenter wrote. "Honestly curious bc I wish I was as brave as you to get a tattoo like that - but what do you tell the kids???"

Philipps, never one to hold back, replied, "I tell them that these are words to live by. Especially as a woman." See her response, below:

This isn't Philipps' first tattoo, though. The actress has the phrase “aced out in her nudes” in handwritten cursive on her arm, and soon after getting it, she joked that she had caught the tattoo bug. “You know what’s going to happen now. Full sleeves. Neck, sleeve, sleeve, sleeve,” she said at the time.
