  • Busch beer has been around since 1955, and now the historic brand has a new brew on the block.

  • Anheuser-Busch announced that it is releasing "Dog Brew," a first-of-its-kind brew made specifically for dogs.

Busch Beer is known for its variety of regular, light, ice, and non-alcoholic beers. But now, the beloved beer brand is entering into a new category—and this time, it’s not geared toward humans.

On Wednesday, August 26—otherwise known as National Dog Day—Busch Beer announced that they were launching their latest beer: Dog Brew by Busch. The 12-ounce canned drinks don’t feature any hops or alcohol, but still give you the opportunity to kick back and enjoy a cold one with your furry friend.

"After a long day there's nothing quite like having a Busch with a friend, and with so many new pet owners across America this year, we wanted to create a brew to give our fans a chance to share a Busch brew with their 'best friend,'" Daniel Blake, Anheuser-Busch's VP of value brands, said in a release.

In other words, it’s no wonder that when the brand posted about the launch to Twitter, fans went wild.

“2020 isn’t that bad after all,” one user wrote.

“I can now crack a cold one with my dog. 2020 is finally looking up,” another chimed in.

“Just ordered a [four-pack] for Baxter,” one commenter quipped.

The new Dog Brew is available in four-packs, and for every case (six four-packs) sold, Busch is donating $1 (up to $50,000) to Best Friends Animal Society.

"We’re proud to be able to partner with Best Friends Animal Society and continue our efforts to help those furry friends still looking for a home," Blake continued in the release.

Busch took to Instagram on Saturday to announce that the first batch of Dog Brew is actually sold out already! Luckily, you can join the waitlist for first dibs on the next batch.
