And both will be available come March 7.

Burger King

Last August, Burger King released a line of BK Royal Crispy Chicken Wraps, which the chain hoped would become the tortilla-swaddled go-to for anyone pining for McDonald’s long-discontinued Snack Wrap. When BK’s wraps launched, they were available in classic, spicy, and honey mustard flavors, and the chain has just announced a fourth member of its Royal Crispy family.

On Thursday, March 7, Burger King will debut its Fiery Buffalo Royal Crispy Wrap, which takes a Buffalo-glazed chicken breast fillet and rolls it into a soft tortilla with creamy Buffalo sauce, sliced tomato, and lettuce. On that same day, Burger King is releasing its new Fiery Buffalo Nuggets, so if you’re into hot chicken, you’ll want to circle next Thursday on your calendar. Both Fiery Buffalo siblings will only be available for a limited time, and both are priced at $2.99 each.

“Since their initial launch to menus nationwide last year, our Royal Crispy Wraps quickly became the most popular limited-time offering to hit Burger King menus in the U.S. within the last four years,” Pat O’Toole, the Chief Marketing Officer for Burger King North America, said in a statement. “Despite being launched as a [limited time offering], wraps are here to stay.”

Burger King has brought the heat all around this week. Following Wendy’s news that it could introduce dynamic pricing next year — a pricing system that could see the cost of menu items increase or decrease based on demand or time of day — BK hit back with free food and a promise to, uh, not do that. (Following several days of complaints and bad press, Wendy’s has since reconsidered this idea, writing on its website that it “would not raise prices when our customers are visiting us most,” but that it might offer discounts “particularly in the slower times of day.”)

While Wendy’s was trying to wriggle out of the dynamic corner it had backed itself into, Burger King offered free sandwiches. “The only thing surging at BK is the [fire],” the chain wrote on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. “We don't believe in charging people more when they're hungry.”

From Wednesday, February 28 through Friday, March 1 — Today! — BK customers can get one free Whopper or Impossible Whopper with any purchase of $3 or more through the BK app or by ordering ahead through BK.com. (To claim the free sandwich, you’ll need to either be an existing Royal Perks member or you’ll need to sign up for the program.)

So a free Whopper today and a Fiery Buffalo Royal Crispy Wrap next week doesn’t sound too bad. Now if only somebody whose name rhymes with Schmcdonald's would bring the Snack Wrap back, our lives would be complete.
