The gardens at King Charles’s Highgrove House in Gloucestershire delight tourists from April to October each year, who can see how the King has transformed them since he purchased the property in 1980. And now British fashion house Burberry has been inspired by the rural setting, launching a collection of silk scarves and trench coats featuring vibrant images of gardens in summer bloom.

The drawings were created by British artist Holly Mills, who is a graduate of the Royal Drawing School, which was founded by then Prince Charles in 2000. Her illustrations capture wildflower meadows, trees and King Charles’s favorite flower delphinium. “Made in Italy, the four scarves contain organic silk and are finished with hand-rolled edges, ensuring long-lasting quality,” the King’s Foundation, which is responsible for the stewardship of Highgrove, said in a statement today.

Burberry is a royal warrant holder, which means that they are specifically recognized as providing goods and services to members of the royal family. The collection will be sold in their stores as well as in the Highgrove shops and online. Today's release marks their second Highgrove scarf collection (the first launched this past fall), and the brand also released a special scarf to celebration King Charles's coronation.

The King’s 353 acres of land in Gloucestershire also previously inspired a 13-piece luxury collection sold on Net-a-Porter and Yoox. Crafted by eight students on the Modern Artisan training program, the collection was advertised as being carbon neutral.

Highgrove House has been the King’s country retreat for decades and he has poured his energies into reshaping the gardens in line with his philosophies about the natural world. The garden have been open to the public since 1996 and the estate is also home to courses run by the King’s Foundation including a partnership with Chanel to develop couture embroiders skills.
