Bully ‘Gives Up’ While Trying To Run Up Hill and Everyone’s Feeling Him

If there's one thing that almost all dogs love to do, it's being able to run and play in wide, open places. Lulu and TukTuk are siblings who live in New Zealand, and when their humans take them to the beach for some exercise, they get very excited as you'll see in this video that they shared at the beginning of April.

The two dogs are enjoying running and chasing each other around in the sand. Their humans are standing at the top of a hill and so they decide to go see what dad is up to. Lulu, a Staffy, takes the lead and easily makes it up the hill. Watch what happens when TukTuk, an American Bully, heads up the hill next!

Poor Tuktuk! He ran out of gas before he got to the top of the hill! He gave up and just laid down. Commenters were laughing at the adorable Bully's reaction and left nearly 1,400 comments. @theycallmecallie made me laugh when they said, "Dude is built for comfort, not for speed." @Rayner got more than 15 thousand likes for their comment, "Acting like he just meant to stop there LOL!" and the dog's human replied, "Exactly! Was admiring the view." and @Gus added, "TukTuk was like “Almost there aaaaannnndddd I’m tired for the day.” Haha!"

American Bully Facts

While Bullys might look intimidating, American Bulldogs are actually known to be a very friendly breed. Early socialization from a young age with other dogs and people is important. They do well with small children, however because of their size, they can easily knock little ones over. Like with any dog, you should never leave them unattended. Overall, they are big, loving dogs that are not naturally aggressive.

They love learning new things, so training is something that they look forward to because they like to please their owners. That being said, Bullys are extremely intelligent but can be stubborn. According to All Things Dogs, "The first step in training an American Bully is to establish yourself as a leader positively and firmly. This breed respects assertive, confident handling, but it’s crucial to avoid harsh methods. Consistency is key; setting clear rules and sticking to them helps your Bully understand expectations and fosters a respectful relationship."

A lot of people are under the impression that these dogs are Pitbulls, but surprisingly, they are not. These bulldogs are descendants of English Bulldogs and were bred to work on farms. Unlike English Bulldogs who aren't very energetic, these guys are athletes and love to be exercised and to play...except when they lose their steam like TukTuk!

If you think that a Bully might be a good dog for your next dog, it definitely is worth considering... if you can afford it. These dogs are expensive; a "cheap" one would cost at least a couple of thousand dollars. Yikes!
