Built from free and recycled leftovers, this New Orleans home makes national news

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Peeking through the pages of a magazine, something seems so familiar.

It’s” “Dwell” magazine.

And it looks familiar to New Orleans husband and wife architects Emilie Taylor Welty and Seth Welty.

Their home is on the cover of “Dwell,” the magazine about good design for your house.

WGNO Good Morning New Orleans features reporter Bill Wood says the Welty’s’ house is on the cover because of how it’s built.

And because of what it’s built from.

In the Black Pearl neighborhood of the River Bend in New Orleans is the Welty’s address.

And what their home is built of is mostly reclaimed and recycled.
