"Buddy Vs. Duff" Is Back For A New Season And It Looks Better Than Ever
Buddy Valastro and Duff Goldman are two of baking's biggest stars, so when they faced off last year in a reality competition show called Buddy Vs. Duff, it was unsurprisingly a huge hit. In fact, it was Food Network's biggest show of 2019. Duff ultimately walked away as the winner, but it looks like Buddy is seeking a re-match because the second season will premiere today, March 15.
Yes, starting tonight you can see Buddy (known for Cake Boss) and Duff (of Ace of Cakes fame) engage in a whole new set of baking competitions to see who is the ultimate champion. Will Duff reclaim his crown? Will Buddy get sweet, fondant-covered revenge? I dunno! But I do know a lot of other things about it!
This season their wives Lisa Valastro and Johnna Goldman will be involved in the fun as the pairs go coast-to-coast and compete in themed baking gauntlets. The first week, they're in New York making some Big Apple-themed cakes judged by actress Debi Mazar and New York news anchor and restaurateur Rosanna Scotto.
They will also make cakes inspired by the broadway musical Waitress and the Natural History Museum, among other things. Their west coast adventures will have them creating cakes inspired by the Aquarium of the Pacific, mini-golf cakes for LPGA pro Michelle Wie, and the 100th anniversary of Knott’s Berry Farm.
This all leads up to the finale which is STAR. WARS. THEMED. I cannot wait to see Buddy and Duff make a fondant Baby Yoda and BB-8, personally. Actor Billy Dee Williams will also be joining the fun at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland.
