Bud Light Made a Special Beer to 'Share With Any Alien' That Leaves Area 51

Bud Light is making good on its promise to give free beer to any and all aliens who escape Area 51 on September 20, the date more than 2 million people insist they will storm the mysterious military site because “they can’t stop all of us.”

Before we go any further, it’s important to point out that they can, in fact, stop all of us: The creator of the viral Facebook event pulled out of proceedings this week and, just yesterday, two YouTubers who ventured onto the site were immediately arrested.

It’s also important to point out that Bud Light’s original tweet promised to created a limited-edition alien pack if said tweet got 51,000 retweets—and it did not.

Does any of this matter to the Anheuser-Busch-produced beer brand? Apparently not, because it’s valiantly going ahead with the plan.

“The way we see it, we’d much rather people crack open a crisp Bud Light with alien visitors rather than storm Area 51,” said a spokesperson in a press release. “Nothing says we come in peace like sharing a beer with friends from another place or another galaxy. We promised to have beer waiting for any alien that wants it and we plan to deliver on that promise. Our hope is that humans stock up too because you never know when you might need some Bud Lights to welcome intergalactic neighbors.”

Consumers in Nevada, Arizona, and California will be able to purchase the extra terrestrial-themed cans beginning today.

The limited-edition design features a green alien and a new crest meant to welcome “all extraterrestrials from near and far to crack a cold one.”

But that’s not all! Bud Light also produced a special fridge that is locked with “an alien finger scan” to ensure the beer is only available to actual aliens.

If, for some reason, you wish to see this refrigerator, you can go to the Luxor Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas between now and September 20.
