BTS is back on the road after canceling its U.S. tour in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and they're feeling a bit nervous about it. Hitting the stage for the first time in two years can be intimidating even when you're a chart-topping, record-breaking mega boyband with millions of supporters. According to People, BTS opened up about their apprehensions before hitting the stage in their first of four Permission to Dance On Stage live shows at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.

During a press conference attended by People, Jin said, "Before a concert, we always talk amongst ourselves and do a huddle in the green room. Before [the first song] 'On,' everyone said 'I think I'm gonna cry.' Everyone was very nervous." He added, "We were afraid to make a mistake but that made us practice that much harder." Despite threats of tears, the group held it together. "Everyone said they were going to cry but no one actually did," Jin revealed.

Jimin felt the same way. "I was very nervous. I was scared," he explained. "Today, I will take it easy."

The K-pop group has been slowly getting accustomed to the swing of things. Days before their tour kicked off, they made history as the first Asian act to win Artist of the Year at the American Music Awards in November 2021.

Jimin reflected on the COVID-19 pandemic and how the group sought to inspire the world during a time of so much uncertainty. "We felt powerless and felt depressed. We wanted to bring healing to everyone." Now, Jimin added, "We're back where we belong."
