BTS Suits Up in One of Their Favorite French Designer Labels

Yesterday, BTS accepted their Group of the Year award at Variety’s Hitmakers brunch in West Hollywood, California. Their latest win follows the Mnet Asian Music Awards earlier this week, where the seven group members—RM, V, Jungkook, Jin, Jimin, Suga, and J-Hop—picked up nine accolades, including Artist of the Year. The K-Pop group used the event as an opportunity to reveal some exciting news. “We are currently working on our new music and new album and can’t wait to share them with you guys in the near future,” RM said while accepting the award. “I hope you guys are so excited to discover what BTS has in store in 2020.”

On the red carpet, the BTS guys looked to Saint Laurent, one of their favorite labels, to suit up. With complementary takes on creative director Anthony Vaccarello’s rock ’ n ’ roll suiting, each member worked a subtle variation on the cool theme. RM, V, and Jungkook went the classic route in all-black; Jin and Suga did textured blazers; J-Hope offered the perfect contrast in a white double-breasted suit. Jimin, meanwhile, chose a crystal-embellished suit that sparkled just right. The group’s grungy-chic look continues their winning fashion moment at the Mnet awards earlier this week where they wore denim and statement outerwear by Celine. It seems as if BTS has official moved on from their streetwear obsession towards a more buttoned-up aesthetic. It certainly looks good on them.
