BTS to Perform at the 2019 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball

It’s official: BTS will be performing at this year’s Jingle Ball — but if you’re part of the BTS Army, you definitely saw that announcement coming.

On Friday, September 27, iHeartMedia announced the all-star lineup for the annual iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour, which includes BTS, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Jonas Brothers, Lizzo, Billie Eilish, Normani, and more A-list artists. According to a press release, the tour will kick off in Tampa Bay, Florida on December 1 before hitting eleven additional cities across the United States. BTS will perform at the L.A. show on Friday, December 6.

Rumors that BTS might be taking the Jingle Ball stage started buzzing earlier this month, with various outlets reporting that the K-pop band was tweaking their schedule in order to accommodate appearing at the annual event. Jingle Ball ~theories~ also emerged around the same time BTS returned from their brief hiatus of “rest and relaxation.” In response to the rumors, Big Hit Entertainment commented: “We announce our artists’ scheduled activities after they are confirmed.”

For the BTS Army, those rumors were more than enough to spur a ton of excitement about a possible Jingle Ball performance. “If BTS is performing at JINGLE BALL..... I'm going to reconsider getting gifts for my family,” one fan wrote on Twitter, while another pledged to fly across the country to see them.

Even the official Twitter account for 102.7 KIIS-FM, the radio station hosting the L.A. Jingle Ball, admitted that BTS fans were one step ahead of the event. “Never can get anything past the #ARMY 😂!” they wrote. You can say that again!

Other fans quickly took note that Halsey is also expected to perform at the L.A. concert, leading plenty of people to conclude that the artists would be sharing the stage together to perform “Boy With Luv.” I mean, it’s a fair assumption.

What’s more, Billie Eilish is also part of the scheduled L.A. lineup. Some fans are wondering if Jungkook might finally get his dream-worthy collab with the “Bad Guy” singer. After all, it would definitely send both fandoms into a wild frenzy (in the best way possible, of course).

Luckily, it’s not much longer until Jingle Ball tickets go on sale. A pre-sale for Capital One cardholders begins on Monday, October 7 at 10 a.m. local time and runs through Wednesday, October 9 at 10 a.m. local time. Ticket sales for the general public will begin on Friday, October 11 at 12 p.m. local time, and you’ll be able to find them here. Time to start prepping our letters to Santa — hope he’s down with early holiday gifts this year!
