From ELLE

BTS made history tonight, performing on Saturday Night Live for the very first time. The band is one of the first k-pop groups to ever be a musical guest on the show.

V, Jungkook, Jimin, Suga, Jin, RM, and J-Hope all performed their new single "Boy With Luv" for the first time live. And naturally, the group dressed to make a statement on stage. They wore all wore black suits but with their own individual twists and pops of color for their first song during the broadcast.

Since Monday, fans have been camped outside of 30 Rock for the chance to get last-minute tickets to see BTS.

Halsey, who's featured on the track, did not join their SNL performance but will join them at the Billboard Music Awards on May 1, where they will all do "Boy With Luv" on that stage. She posted an Instagram earlier today of herself in Indio, California for Coachella. But Halsey has been vocal about her support of the boys on her social media. When announcing their collaboration on her Instagram, Halsey wrote about her relationship with the group. "I went all the way to Korea to make this dream a reality!" she wrote of "Boy With Luv."

"For years, these guys have impressed me," she continued. "They have always been so creative and so concise. But this time they impressed me by how welcomed and at home I felt working on this collab. They are truly great artists and even better friends."

In May 2017, BTS talked to ELLE.com about how they felt about their U.S. success then, right when they were on the cusp of winning their very first U.S. award, the Billboard Music Award for Top Social Artist Award. Even then, RM and J-Hope knew it was just the beginning.

"I think so many miracles have happened, from Twitter emoji to the Billboard Music Awards," RM said. "But at the same time, we're just getting started and there are still more amazing things to accomplish for BTS and we can't wait for that to happen."

"It's such an honor for BTS, and I'd have to say it's only a beginning." J-Hope said. "We want to and will go further and higher. It's all possible with the support of our fans around the world."
