BTS's Jimin Just Dyed His Hair Black for the First Stop of the U.S. Stadium Tour

Here's why BTS fans are shocked by Jimin's latest hair transformation.

After having one of the brightest dye jobs at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards last week, Jimin of internationally beloved K-pop group BTS traded his Living Coral hair for a hue that his fans have come to know and love. On May 4, the skilled dancer arrived at the sound check for the first stop of BTS's Love Yourself: Speak Yourself Stadium Tour at the Rose Bowl in Los Angeles with black hair. OK, this may not seem like that big a deal, but this is truly major. Let me explain.

Since debuting in 2013, Jimin has dyed his hair nearly every color in the rainbow. In 2019 alone, he's experimented with bubblegum pink, lilac, peach, and varying shades of coral. However, many ARMYs, as BTS fans are officially called, will tell you black is Jimin's best hair color. They'll point to his look during the "Boy In Luv" era as exhibit A and the "Fire" music video as exhibit B. He also returned to his natural color for Love Yourself: Tear in April 2018.

Needless to say, Jimin's latest raven-haired reveal for the tour provided some serendipity for ARMYs (and a break for his scalp). "Jimin has black hair" even trended on Twitter in several countries, including but not limited to the U.S., South Korea, Malaysia, and Austria. You see, that's how major it is when this BTS member goes back to black.
