BTS Is Helping Fight Climate Change With Formula E Electric Car Partnership

BTS continues to make their activism a priority.

Our fave boy band BTS announced a new partnership this week that proves once again how committed the band is to making a different in the world. BTS has long urged fans to "love yourself," and now, BTS is continuing to extend that love outward, to the rest of the planet.

According to Variety, BTS has partnered with the ABB FIA Formula E Championship street racing series in order to promote the environmental benefits of electric cars. BTS is now an official Formula E ambassador and, as such, intend to use their new platform to raise awareness over a number of environmental issues including air pollution. The band is just the latest group of celebrities to team up with Formula E, following in the footsteps of Leonardo DiCaprio, Diane Kruger, and Orlando Bloom.

In a statement about the partnership, Jamie Reigle, Chief Executive Officer of Formula E shared, "We are delighted to announce BTS as a global ambassador of the ABB FIA Formula E Championship. BTS has cultivated an engaged fan base that is highly passionate about social issues and we share a common desire to raise awareness of the threat of climate change. In partnering with BTS, we will amplify our purpose of accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles to a global youth audience."

Fans have already begun sharing their positive thoughts on Twitter about the campaign, and we agree that it's awesome BTS is using their voice as we all try to find ways to save our planet from the climate crisis.
