BTS and Halsey to Perform "Boy With Luv" at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards

A collab we'll stan forever.

After dropping what is truly an epic bop, BTS and Halsey will soon be performing live together for the very first time.

During BTS's recent appearance on Saturday Night Live, it was announced that the K-pop group and the “Eastside” singer would perform their new hit “Boy With Luv” at the upcoming 2019 Billboard Music Awards, scheduled to take place on Wednesday, May 1. According to People, BTS and Halsey will join a star-studded roster of other confirmed performers, including Normani, Sam Smith, and Panic! At The Disco. BTS is also up for two Billboard Awards, as they are nominated in the Top Social Artist and Top Duo/Group categories.

Of course, members of the BTS ARMY were beyond thrilled when they heard the news — especially on top of a memorable performance on SNL.

In addition to being a surefire song of the summer, “Boy With Luv” has broken some serious records. Entertainment Tonight reports that the already-iconic music video smashed YouTube’s record for most views within 24 hours, acquiring more than 98 million views around the world as of 2:45 p.m. PT on Saturday, April 13. Previously, BLACKPINK’s “Kill This Love” held the site’s record, with 56 million views within a 24-hour period.

Popularity aside, BTS and Halsey’s first live performance is a huge deal, especially considering that their collaboration was two years in the making. After meeting the K-pop group in 2017, Halsey paid them a visit in South Korea the following year during her world tour, describing BTS as an inspiration. Here’s hoping this is the start of many many more collabs in their future; after all, you can never have too many bops.
