BTS Fans Are Freaking Out Over Their Glowing Skin at the Billboard Music Awards

After BTS accepted an award at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards on Sunday night, fans took to social media to wonder about the band’s skin-care regimen.

At Sunday night’s 2018 Billboard Music Awards, BTS took home the award for Top Social Artist for the second year in a row. As excited as fans were about the seven-member K-pop group’s massive achievement, many were a little more preoccupied with a specific aspect of the guys’ onstage look: their dewy, glowing skin.

Plenty of fans mesmerized by BTS’s glass skin took to Twitter, demanding to know the secret behind V, Suga, Jin, Jungkook, RM, Jimin, and J-Hope’s skin-care routines “Not only did BTS win, and not only are they performing soon, they are GLOWING drop a skin care routine I need that radiance in my life #BillboardMusicAwards,” one person wrote. “I’m here for BTS korean skin care lewk. give me glass skin. give me dewy. give me clear complexion. whats the steps? what products? wheres the tutorial?” another added.

Luckily for these inquiring minds, all seven members of BTS spoke to Allure last year about their individual skin-care philosophies. “Skin is what completes my appearance," Jin said. "I value my looks very much, so it’s equally important to take good care of my skin — that’s a pivotal part of my face." Meanwhile, J-Hope added, “Taking good care of your skin is the number one rule for all celebs. I get to meet a lot of fans face-to-face at fan meetings and similar events, and I’d like to look my best for them.”

As for their actual skincare regimens, a few of the guys talked about adapting to the dry air of the airplanes they’re constantly in while touring. Jimin said he swears by drinking “as much water as possible,” and V noted that he combats dry skin wetting cotton pads with toner and sticking them on his face like a quick sheet mask. Also, he uses “twice as much” lotion as usual.

Even when they’re back on solid ground, almost all of the BTS guys said they focus primarily on toning and moisturizing — especially with the help of Korean beauty products. Jin, in particular, is a fan of sheet masks, including but not limited to the ones BTS teamed up with K-beauty brand Mediheal on. "I try to put them on whenever I feel my skin is dry and exposed too much to the sun," he said. "They help me make up for lost moisture and brighten my skin,”
