BTS's "DNA" Becomes Most-Viewed Music Video by a K-Pop Group on YouTube

BTS just reached another big milestone.

BTS has reached the next milestone in K-pop history. The latest achievement from the music superstars, as Billboard reports, is having the most-viewed music video by a K-pop group on YouTube.

Over the past weekend, BTS's music video for their hit single, "DNA," helped them shatter another record when it reached upwards of 349 million views (at time of this story, that view count now sits at around 349.8 million views). The video, which was released in September 2017, beat out the previous owner of this title: BIGBANG's "Fantastic Baby," which was released in 2012 and has racked up approximately 348 million views in that time. Both are of course major victories (hello, millions upon *millions of views), but BTS's ARMY continues to prove that they're a force to be reckoned with when it comes to supporting their beloved group.

Leading up to the record-breaking moment, fans were working together to get the view count up. They're also mobilizing to get the video up to 350 million views. One person tweeted, "ARMYs, we are so close to 350 million views for DNA on YouTube! Please spread the word that we are doing a streaming party! Let’s break another record for @BTS_twt." Another fan responded with "I will dedicate my time 😌" along with a photo of them watching "DNA" on both their computer and tablet.

Billboard also notes that "DNA" isn't the only video to have racked up an immense amount of views in a fairly short amount of time. The group's music video for "Fire" currently has over 300 million views while their videos for "Blood Sweat & Tears," "Mic Drop (Steve Aoki Remix)," "Not Today," and "Save Me" have all gotten approximately 200 million views apiece.

Conquering YouTube with a hit single from their first album bodes well for BTS, who are currently in the final weeks of preparation before their new album, Love Yourself: Tear, is released on May 18. There's been no single announced from the new album, but we're pretty sure that no matter which song it is, it's going to conquer YouTube and have BTS fans clamoring for more in no time.
