Bryce Hall Has Been Cast in a Horror Movie About TikTok and Internet Fame

Bryce Hall is headed to the big screen.
On Wednesday, April 13, Deadline reported that the social media influencer has been cast in a new production titled Skill House, a horror film that views TikTok culture through a chilling, satirical lens. Directed by Josh Stolberg — the filmmaker behind thrillers such as Spiral: From the Book of Saw — Skill House will explore just how far influencers will go for internet fame.
“These social media personalities are the new Hollywood, and they are reinventing what it means to be a star,” Stolberg told Deadline. “When a young kid from Maryland, like Bryce, with nothing but a cell phone and a ring light, can attract tens of millions of followers on TikTok and Instagram, it evens the playing field for everyone. But there’s a dark side to this new entertainment landscape, and I’m excited to flip that rock over.”
“The film will be a ‘hard R’ horror film and will have a gritty approach to what it takes to succeed in a business that relies on fans ‘liking you,’” he continued.
As for the project’s filming location? Well it’ll be shot in the Bel-Air mansion once known as the Sway House, of course. (If you need a refresher, Sway House was a Los Angeles-based creator collective that included Bryce, Noah Beck, Blake Gray, and more.)
Skill House is Bryce’s first time stepping into a lead role, but it’s not his introduction to the silver screen. ICYMI, he made a (super) brief cameo in his ex Addison Rae’s rom-com He’s All That. He’s also appeared as himself in a handful of projects such as Jawline.
Production is scheduled to start in June, and although no official release date has been set, it is slated for an early 2023 release, per Deadline. So it seems we’re only about a year away from meeting Bryce Hall, Big Time Movie Star.
