Emma Heming Willis is mourning a music legend and family friend.

Following the news of Tony Bennett's death on July 21, Bruce Willis' wife took to Instagram to pay tribute to the late music legend, who she had the privilege of knowing.

"We are so saddened to hear of Mr Bennett’s passing," she wrote alongside images from an outing with Bennett and his wife, Susan Crow. "I will personally always remember him for his kind, graceful and gentle demeanor. An evening spent with Tony and Susan was the best NY date night one could ever ask for."

As she continued, Heming Willis applauded the "Body and Soul" singer's career, which spanned over seven decades. "And his talent, boy his talent—we stand in awe and admiration," she wrote. "I especially applaud the final chapter of his career, as he continued to dazzle and elicit nothing but joy and excitement performing selflessly despite his Alzheimer’s diagnosis."

"It was a beautiful reminder that we should never allow society to dictate or dismiss anyone because of their cognitive challenges but instead to continue to flourish," she penned. "When he hit the stage, he shined and everyone around him beamed! Thank you to Mr. Bennett and his family for shining a bright light on this disease. It has and will forever be so meaningful and impactful to me."

This is just the latest heartwarming tribute to the legendary standards singer, whose death was confirmed on Friday. As his rep revealed, he died in his hometown of New York. He was 96 years old.

Bennett had retired from performing in August 2021 after battling Alzheimer's disease for some time.

He is survived by his aforementioned wife and children Danny, Dae, Joanna and Antonia.
