Bruce Willis Gives His Daughter a Buzz Cut—And She Looks Exactly Like Demi Moore in G.I. Jane

While in isolation, the urge to shear off a couple inches of hair has been, well, pervasive, to say the least. And while some are are indulging this temptation with measured bang trims and split end dustings, Tallulah Willis has taken the impulse to the extreme by way of a radical buzz cut—one that she achieved with help from her dad Bruce, no less.

ICYMI: Exes Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, along with their daughters, Tallulah, Rumer, and Scout have been in group isolation together amid the COVID-19 crisis. Their family time has yielded a host of feel-good posts, from adorable snaps of their family dogs to the clan showing off their matching striped pajama sets. Their latest bonding activity? Giving Tallulah a dramatic hair transformation that rings familiar in more ways than one.

Yesterday, the 26-year-old Wyllis designer took to Instagram to share the big reveal of her new close-cropped fuzz in a portrait snapped by sister Rumer, as well as a video of Bruce (a veritable expert with a pair of clippers considering his own clean-shaven head) buzzing off her brunette lengths. "You look like Joan of Arc, dude!" says a voice in the background, likening her new look to the iconic blunt crop of The Maid of Orléans.

What's most powerful of all about Willis's evocative new 'do is her striking resemblance to mom Demi, who famously had a head shaving moment of her own in 1997's G.I. Jane, playing the fictional role of Jordan O'Neil, the first woman to undergo training in U.S. Navy Special Warfare Group.

Even though Willis is something of a hair chameleon, and it's not the first time she's lopped it all off, her latest buzz feels poignant in that it serves as inspiration to embrace change and start anew during this time of great uncertainty. It may be a big leap for some, but as Willis highlights in her Instagram bio, she's just "hyperbolic by nature."
