I brought a water bottle with a straw on an airplane — I regretted it, and so will you

This is the last straw — that she’ll be bringing on her flight.

Kat Darby, who goes by @lifted_pdx on TikTok, posted a video to her page in December explaining what happened when she took a reusable water bottle with a straw on the plane with her, Indy100 reported. That video has garnered nearly a million views.

In her video, she said she loves her water bottle with a straw, but that it’s not fit for every occasion.

“What I did not account for was water pressure,” Darby said.

When she opened her bottle to take a sip chaos ensued.

“So, when I opened it, it proceeded to piss like a hose all over my row, the row in front of me, the row behind me, the row across from me and down,” she lamented.

“I hit — easily you know, cause I was flying in coach — like, 15 people with my squirting water bottle because, lucky for me, this thing holds, like, 30 ounces,” she added.

Darby said she could not get her water bottle to stop squirting, so she had to stick her finger down on the hole of the straw.

After pressing it down, “it proceeded to spray me in the face,” she bemoaned.

She asked her followers to learn from her mistake and “never fly on a plane with a giant water bottle with a  f–king straw in it.”

Commenters below her video shared similar tales of woe.

“Worse!!!! We put chocolate milk in it … with 2 kids,” one person said.

“I brought a sippy cup with a snap-on cap filled with red juice for my daughter. As soon as she took a sip … looked like a crime scene!” another added.

“I did this … It was the fountain that never ended! That really should be on the flight attendant puppet show before the flight,” a third said.
