The Brooklyn Nets Just Launched Its Own Fashion Brand

Here’s to sitting courtside with a little more swagger.

The Brooklyn Nets just launched its first private label merchandise brand on Wednesday. Dubbed Berō, fittingly pronounced as “borough,” its first drop offers range of apparel including a printed cardigan, soccer jersey, polo shirt, and a stylish chore coat. Of course, the sporty apparel isn’t just made for watching your favorite team: The new line is made for everyday wear, too.

Of course, that includes Berō’s Washed Full-Zip Chore Coat. Ranging from an extra small to an 2XL, the black piece is a versatile outerwear option that can easily be incorporated into your wardrobe. Like many chore coats, it isn’t overly loud, but its front carpenter pockets and collar in a lighter hue help the heavyweight-cotton jacket stand out. The leather basketball patch on its chest makes for a spirited final touch.

Speaking of fantastic layering pieces, the brand’s Brooklyn Quarter Zip sweatshirt and Basketball Club Cardigan are sure to make a statement. Made in America from cotton, the former has embroidered graphics such as a Chenille patch in the shape of a “B” on its left chest area and a basketball on the right sleeve—both evoking classic letterman jacket vibes.

The two-toned Basketball Club Cardigan, meanwhile, is the star of the collection with its stylish jacquard-herringbone pattern. It has two pockets on the front of its midweight design alongside the drop’s signature leather basketball patch, plus a ribbed collar, cuffs, and a waistband. The machine-washable knit is certainly a bold choice for winter styling.

Other items from Berō’s first drop include the Brooklyn Soccer Jersey, the Basketball Club Polo, the Basketball Club Pullover Hoodie, the Basketball Club Tee, and a printed bucket hat. Each is crafted from 100 percent cotton for comfort and dons at least one detail spotlighting Brooklyn or the team’s signature “Basketball Club” text.

The Nets created Berō to expand its merchandise beyond the traditional N.B.A. licensee-designed products such as jerseys. It also plans to release designer collaborations and exclusive limited-edition collection under the line. As far as prices go, you can expect to get Berō’s first collection for anywhere from $70 to $250. And you can snag the collection now on the team’s web store or the new standalone store inside Barclays Center (the Nets’ home arena) that was designed by the Brooklyn Home Company.
