KETO PATARAIA: Hi. I'm Keto. Welcome to my Coveted Closet. Come on in.

I live in Brooklyn, New York. I was born and raised here. Brooklyn definitely influences my style a lot. I grew up around a lot of characters who weren't afraid to be themselves, and I feel like that gave me the confidence to be who I am. I would describe my style in three words with rave, colorful, and funky.

I definitely grew up around the YouTube era, so I was obsessed with, like, the Harajuku street-style videos of the decora girls who had, like, all the clips in their hair. And even though it's not my style now, I'm still obsessed with it. I thought it was so cool.

I've got on these super-high heels from Koi Footwear that was gifted. These tights are thrifted. And the little Hello Kitty ribbons, they're from, like, Etsy from Hawaii. It was such a cute find.

And then this dress is from Depop. It was super cheap, and it has all these, like, really cool, like, TV digital prints on them. I think it's inspired by, like, an old Tripp NYC print. And then this belt is also thrifted. And accessories, of course, all thrifted.

I love my TikTok community. I feel, like, building my community on there has been so fun for me. Even if they don't even have the same style or even like clothes, just having, like, that similar personalities where we're just not scared to be ourselves-- it definitely gives me hope that there's good people in the world.

I wanted to show you guys some of my favorite pieces in my closet. This one has really great memories for me. It's a 2003, I believe, D&G shirt. It's so cool. Someone once called it "Shrek"-core on TikTok. This one is from a Japanese resale site, and it's a "Sailor Moon" vest.

And it's got this insane "Sailor Moon" graphic on the back of it. So this next piece is a vintage '90s Lip Service set. It's got this super cool tubing on the sides of it, which I'm absolutely in love with. This is a Mugler dress that he got off The RealReal.

It's actually a really good website for, like, finding, like, cheap designer things. These are so funny. Everybody makes fun of them on TikTok for, like, the boing sound. But they're so cool and comfortable. They're originally orthopedic shoes, but I don't care.

Well, they've got, like, this coil in it, and they're called Z-CoiLs. So these are definitely a prized possession for me. I wear them, like, literally almost every single day, so I've definitely got my money's worth for them. They are the SWEAR Londons.

Really love the clear sole. I love the bubble. I want to give a lot of credit to "FRUiTS" magazine, a '90s street-style magazine in Harajuku and Tokyo, and '90s hip-hop style. I feel like it definitely really inspires me a lot. This is one of the dresses that I have that really reminds me of "FRUiTS" magazine.

I just love the colors and the polka dots, and it really reminds me of the art of Yayoi Kusama as well. It's by a Chinese brand called Leele Girl's Food Co. Limited.

I really do think all of us should be making more of a mess when we're getting dressed, just because the more you pull out, the more things you can match, the more you can elevate your outfit. I really love to layer, and I feel like the only way you can really successfully layer is by taking out everything. Every time I'm getting dressed in the morning, I try on as many things as possible.

And that's also because I'm just a really indecisive person. But it also helps me figure out what I have and what I could be wearing that day. So accessorizing is super, super important to me. I feel like, without my accessories, without my rings, without my necklace, I just feel incomplete. I feel naked.

I've just recently really gotten into the power of styling with bags. To be honest, I kind of forgot about bags for a little while. But once I started getting some more, I realized how much I really needed them in my outfits. Thrifted it. Thrifted. Thrift stores. Beauty supply shops.

From eBay. It's eBay. These were the luckiest find of my life, I think-- vintage French skiing boots that I found on Facebook Marketplace. So I got these for super, super cheap. They're so classic. They go for so much on Depop, and I just got really lucky with them.

So if I could say something to anyone who's feeling insecure or not really feeling like expressing themselves right now, the one thing I would have to say is to just do it. Don't be afraid. Don't let it be the next day, and the next day, and the next day. Just do it now.
