Brooke Shields’ Lookalike Daughter Grier Turned 18 & Looks Adorable in Throwback Photos

In case you didn’t feel old enough already with Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ daughter Suri turning 18 today, then you will after learning that Brooke Shields and Chris Henchy’s daughter Grier also turned 18 today! Shields shared several photos of her lookalike daughter to mark the occasion, and we can’t believe how much she’s grown.

“My baby girl is 18 💛,” The Blue Lagoon star wrote on Instagram.  I love being your mom and seeing the wonderful woman you’re growing into.. Happy golden birthday, Grier! I love you! ✨🎉” (Turning 18 on the 18^th? What a cool golden birthday!)

In the first photo, Shields kisses a young Grier, who gives the camera the biggest toothy grin. In another, Shields and a grown-up Grier look like twins in matching white robes as they lounge on a hotel room bed together after getting their hair and makeup done. She also shared photos of a baby Grier wearing a first birthday hat and looking wide-eyed at a birthday cake on her 2^nd birthday. These were interspersed with pictures of Shields and Grier now, and she is so stunning.

“I really see the resemblance between u two ❤️❤️❤️❤️,” one person commented. Someone else said, “A beauty like her mama. Happy birthday to her.”

The Pretty Baby star, who shares Grier and Rowan, 20, with Henchy, opened up about her daughters’ getting bullied in an interview with SHE Media’s CEO Samantha Skey at the SHE Media Co-Lab Whole Life Health at SXSW last month.

“Wow, wow, wow girls can be just plain mean,” Shields said, talking about Grier’s peers picking on her for her 6’1” height. “And she comes home and I just want to talk about it and she’s like, ‘Don’t tell me to lead with kindness, don’t tell me to take the high road. I’m getting a nosebleed with this high road.’”

Shields then revealed what she tells her daughters in moments like this: “Most of the vitriol that gets spewed at you, it only bothers you if you believe it. It taps into an insecurity of yours, but 99.9 percent of the time, it’s their problem.”

“I want to rip people apart and probably could,” she added. “But it’s like my mom used to say, ‘Count to 10, count to 10, count to 10.’ And then I realize, ‘Oh this is their problem [and] insecurity.’”

With powerful advice like that, Grier and Rowan are going to get through their young adult years just fine.
