  • In the snap, the 56-year-old model and actress is posing in workout gear that totally accentuated her killer arms.

  • Brooke, who is religious about all things fitness, stays in shape by being consistent with her workouts—even after she broke her femur in 2021.

Brooke Shields is bringing some '80s vibes to everyone's Instagram feed in her most recent post. The 56-year-old model and actress shared a photo of herself rocking the era's most iconic fitness look: leg warmers and sweatbands. In the snap, she's wearing a white tank top that showed off her totally toned arms, while also holding tiny yellow weights.

She rocked the yellow-forward outfit in honor of her recently-launched community for women, Beginning is Now, whose signature color is the happy hue—and she asked her followers to share their best "yellow" pics.

And while the fashion in the photo is all kinds of awesome, it's hard to ignore Brooke's incredibly sculpted bod—which is looking beyond toned, following a 2021 freak accident that left her with a broken femur, per Vanity Fair.

Since the incident, she has been getting back in the gym and rehabbing her hip with her trainer, Ngo Okafor. "You don't have to deadlift 100 pounds. You can do small, teeny movements to activate these little muscles that actually wrap around other bigger muscles, and they tighten them all in," Brooke told Today. "It was a revelation to work with a personal trainer and it not be a crazy painful thing."

In October 2021, Brooke shared a video showing her progress, which was significant.

Beyond her rehab work, Brooke loves to take spin classes at SoulCycle—in addition to doing resistance band workouts.

Pre-accident, Brooke did all kinds of workouts and incorporated them all into her routine. But for now, after a year of intense physical therapy, she's easing back into the swing of things.

Brooke also recently shared with Yahoo Life that she has found the most acceptance of her body with age. "The acceptance of our bodies comes at a later date," she said. "I live much more in my body now than I ever did. My body actually feels like it belongs to me. And I can't say that about my youth."

As for her Brooke's nutrition, it's all about balance: "We’ve been taught, 'Deny yourself pleasure.' But moderation is harder because it requires really committing to balance," she previously told Health. "I find that if I say, 'I’m not gonna eat ice cream' or 'I’m not gonna drink,' all I want to do is drink and eat ice cream. It’s some kind of psychological battle."

And she has a sense of humor about how hard that can be. In a recent IG video, Brooke shared a video of herself starting off her new year drinking a green juice...before quickly reaching for a box of cookies.

Relatable, Brooke!
