Broadway Week, Restaurant Week, and Must-See Week Are Coming to New York City This January

New York City wants you to get out and explore. And, to push you to try everything it’s got to offer, the city is hosting three major events covering its world-class art, food, and entertainment.

In November, NYC & Company announced the return of NYC Winter Outing, a three-week-long festival running from Jan. 21 to Feb. 9, 2020, which includes NYC Broadway Week, NYC Restaurant Week, and NYC Must-See Week.

“Following an overwhelmingly positive response, we’re pleased to welcome NYC Winter Outing back for its second year, adding unmatched value to the enchanting experiences offered across the five boroughs during the winter months,” NYC & Company president and CEO, Fred Dixon, said in a statement.

Want to learn more? Here’s a little bit about each week and why you should probably just attend them all.

NYC Broadway Week

You haven’t really taken a New York City vacation until you’ve seen a Broadway show. Thankfully, NYC Broadway Week not only makes that an easier proposition but also a more affordable one. To celebrate the city's fantastic musicals and plays guests can snag 2-for-1 tickets to some of the most spectacular shows live right now. Available shows include "The Book of Mormon," "Aladdin," "Chicago," "Frozen," "The Lion King," and more.

NYC Restaurant Week

Want to eat like a real New Yorker? Head out on the town from Jan. 21 to Feb. 9 to get a taste of the city at a more affordable price. Hundreds of restaurants are taking part in this year’s celebration with special prix-fixe menus and special rates. Check out all the restaurants taking part and make your reservations now.

NYC Must-See Week

Must-See Week is perhaps the most nebulous of all the celebratory weeks coming to the city, but it’s meant as a catch-all for everything else you should see and do while you’re in town. For example, during Must-See Week, visitors to the city can grab tickets to museums, skate in Bryant Park, head to the Bronx Zoo, take a sight-seeing tour, and more — all at steep discounts. Take this as your week to try it all. And hey, if you happen to live in the city already, maybe take this as your chance to be a tourist in your own town.
