Brittany Snow and Tyler Stanaland are calling it quits

The sun has set on Brittany Snow and Tyler Stanaland's marriage.

Nearly one month after Selling The OC hit Netflix, the realtor and the Hairspray actor have decided to end their two-year union.

In an emotional post on Instagram, accompanied by a black and white photo of the couple, Snow wrote:

"After time and consideration, Tyler and I have made the difficult decision to separate. This decision was made with love and mutual respect for one another. We have realized we need to take some time and make sure we are each living our most fulfilling and authentic lives."

The post continued, "We started this journey as best friends and our relationship will continue to be a priority not only for us but for our dog Charlie. We sincerely appreciate your support and ask for privacy as we navigate this new chapter."

According to sources, the actor was not interested in her husband participating on Selling The OC, but he was hellbent on making an appearance, per People. Judging from the antics that transpired on the new series, we cannot blame her for being concerned. The main drama focused on Tyler's "almost" kiss with realtor and co-worker, Kayla Cardona.

In an interview with Reality Life with Kate Casey, Stanaland stated, "One night, Kayla did try and kiss me. And then it happened another night as well. And so on the show, out of respect for her, I am just kind of trying to minimize it and brush past it so that there isn't drama. We can all focus on what we should be doing."

Though it's no surprise that the O Group peers are flirty with one another, Cardona has a slightly different interpretation of the event.

"I’m not gonna flirt with someone if I don’t feel like I’m getting flirt[ed] with back. If I know that someone is definitely not interested, I have a lot more confidence in myself than to just throw myself at someone for no reason," she told US Weekly. "I was definitely feeling the reciprocation back and, you know, multiple times. But nothing has ever happened."

Snow has not publicly commented on the not-kiss known 'round the world nor Stanaland's relationship with any members of the O Group office.
