Brittany Mahomes Shares Intense Injury During Family Vacation

Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, surprised fans when she revealed she recently suffered an intense injury—a fractured back.

The 28-year-old, who shares two kids, Sterling and Bronze, with her husband, took to her Instagram Stories on Wednesday, March 6, to share a message with fans, writing, "Just your daily reminder: Once you have kids please take care of your pelvic floor. Seriously. From: A girl with a fractured back."

The message was placed over a boomerang photo of Brittany lounging with her head on her hand, while what looked to be a pool was visible in her sunglasses' reflection. It's unclear exactly where the photo was taken.

While Brittany didn't explain her injury in further detail, pelvic floor issues are known to relate to pain in other areas of the body, particularly in the back. According to HealthCentral, the pelvic floor supports your organs and the muscles that in turn support the spine, back and more, with author Marianne Ryan, P.T., telling the publication, “The pelvic floor is made up of muscles, and when these muscles are in spasm, they can refer pain upwards and even downwards."

Luckily, it seems like she has the time to rest and relax as she recovers, with Brittany writing in a following Story, "But vacaying with my homies will make it better?" followed by a laughing-crying emoji and red heart. In the photo, a little girl, who might be Sterling, walked hand in hand with another adult.

At the end of February, Brittany was spotted enjoying life in Mexico, rocking a black cutout swimsuit while posing on a boat. The visit looked to be a girls' trip, with Brittany documenting it on her Instagram Stories.

The mother of two is currently enjoying life after her husband won the Super Bowl for the second year in a row, with Patrick spotted enjoying his own celebration with the team in Las Vegas.
