Britney Spears is seemingly ready for her musical comeback. Six years after releasing her latest album Glory, the pop star teased "what's to come" while dancing around in a thong bathing suit and super tall stilettos in a short video shared to Instagram.

Set to the tune of her song "Get Naked," Brit twirled in circles and whipped her blonde hair side to side in the clip. She wore a super sexy red swimsuit with cage-like cutouts, and paired the shredded one-piece with platform black heels. "This is 13 seconds of me in heels 👠 before I dyed my hair purple 💜," Britney began her caption, adding: "This is a tease 😈 of what's to come !!!!"

She continued, "My song 'Get Naked' 🎧 !!! Hope you guys are having a great day !!!!! Pss No hair and make up 💄 !!! Just PLAYING around folks !!!!"

While it's unclear if Britney is coming out with a remixed version of the 2007 hit or a new album all together, fans flocked to the comments section with wishful thinking. "a taste of what's to come!?! W H A T 🤯 omg tell us queen ahhhhhh," wrote one user, while another added, "I LOVE UUUU🤩🤩🤩 WE MISS U SOOO MUCH ON STAGE 💚💚💚." A third commented, "BLACKOUT 2.0 COMING."

Spears last performed on stage in October 2018 during her Piece of Me tour. And in a recent Instagram post, she revealed that she was forced to perform and given no creative freedom under her conservatorship. "I asked for 13 years to perform new songs and remixes of my old songs," she wrote of her dad Jamie Spears's control over every aspect of her life. "I had two months off in between each show settings for four years in Vegas … and every time I asked I was told 'No.'"

She continued, "People have no idea the awful things they have done to me personally and after what I've been through, I'm scared of people and the business. Not doing my music anymore is my way of saying 'F--k You' in a sense when it only actually benefits my family by ignoring my real work. It's like I've subconsciously let them win." Spears added that her goal for 2022 is to push herself outside her comfort zone and "do things that scare me."

Perhaps that means a return to the studio? Fingers crossed.
