Britney Spears Sparked Engagement Rumors During Her Red Carpet Debut With Boyfriend Sam Asghari
Britney Spears made a very rare red carpet appearance last night at the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood Los Angeles premiere—and she brought her boyfriend Sam Asghari along with her. This is the two's very first red carpet event together, and they kissed in front of photographers.
They also, E! reported, sparked engagement rumors. Spears was photographed wearing a diamond ring (one with three diamonds) on her left ring finger.
It could be an engagement ring or just an accessory for the night; Spears hasn't commented either way. But she did share two photos from the premiere on her own Instagram, writing, "Our first premiere ⭐️ @samasghari." Her boyfriend commented on her Instagram, "My beautiful date."

Spears and Asghari first met in 2016 when he was hired as a dancer to work on her "Slumber Party" video. Asghari, a 25-year-old trainer, spoke to Men's Health last year about their relationship, explaining that after the two exchanged numbers, Spears ultimately asked him out to sushi. “After the [music] video came out, nobody knew we were dating,” he said. “I don’t think [she or I] had the intention to just be friends.”
“She motivates me more than anyone," he added. "It’s crazy how I can be humbled by a person like her. If I could be that humble when I’m that high in life, that would be the best thing. I grew up with three sisters, and my personality is just to be a supportive person for my family and she’s family. I’m always going to support her. She is another blessing that happened to me.”
E! was told by a source earlier this year that Asghari was especially supportive while Spears sought treatment for her mental health. "Sam has stuck by her side throughout all of her recent struggles and knows that this is just a phase in Britney's life that they will have to adjust to right now," the source said then.
