Britney Spears wants fans to know that she's only scratched the surface of sharing all the drama involved with the ongoing conservatorship battle with her father, Jamie Spears.

The pop star took to Instagram yesterday to share a photo of a fan displaying a bright-pink "Free Britney" flag outside his home. In her caption, Spears expressed her surprise at seeing the social movement advocating for her freedom from the constraints of a conservatorship play out in real life, and also mentioned how there's so much more going on that her fans don't know.

"Geez look at that flag 🙊🤯🥺 !!!! I was like 'My flag up over the American Flag !?!?' … Yes … I'm tooting my own horn 📯 .. is that bad ?????" Spears wrote. "I know in my previous post I said you guys know my situation but LET ME CLARIFY ... you only know half of it !!!! And for a lot of you who say I should be cautious with what I post … I mean if you REALLY THINK ABOUT IT … with what I've been through I believe I been WAAAY TOO CAUTIOUS !!!! One day I will live on the edge !!!! One day 🤔💭 …"

Spears shared in another post that she would be posting on Instagram less often due to the media misconstruing her posts and the goings-on with her conservatorship.

"In a system where I've felt completely hopeless for so long, at least I do have a platform to share !!!! As Selena Gomez says it best - The world can be a nasty place ... I know it ... you know it … kill them with kindness ☀️☀️☀️ !!!" Spears wrote in the post. "Unfortunately the news has been pretty nasty saying horrible and mean lies about me so I'm gonna post a little less from now on 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️ !!!!"

Though Spears requested via her new legal representation to expedite a court hearing to officially remove her father from the helm of her conservatorship, a California judge denied the request yesterday. For now, per People, a hearing on September 29 will determine whether or not her father will continue to control her professional career and finances.
