Britney Spears Praises Boyfriend Sam Asghari for Getting Her Through the "Hardest Years"

Britney Spears is letting the world know that her boyfriend, Sam Asghari, has her back.
The "Oops!... I Did It Again" singer took to Instagram yesterday to share a sweet selfie featuring her with her boyfriend of five years. In the caption, she wrote a sentimental message about how the model and fitness trainer has been supportive of her throughout the years. Though Spears has dated other men while under her current conservatorship helmed by her father, Jamie Spears, Asghari is the first partner of the pop star to speak out against her father's control over her life and to show support for the #FreeBritney movement.
"Not only has this cute asshole been with me through the hardest years of my life but he happens to be an extremely good cook 👨🏽🍳!," Spears wrote. "Fast & Furious franchise, don’t miss out on your next star 🌟🏎️👗🤓 !!!!"
The pair have been together since meeting on the set of Spears's "Slumber Party" music video in 2016. Asghari has since expressed his intentions to build a future with Spears and their hopes to start a family one day, even though the singer is currently not allowed to remove her IUD birth control under the constraints of her conservatorship.
Back in July, the singer was spotted wearing a large diamond ring on her left hand, following positive developments in her ongoing conservatorship case. Speaking about the possibility of marriage, Asghari previously told Entertainment Tonight, "This is something that every couple should do. That's the whole point of a relationship—we are a family." He added, "Trust me, if we do ever get married, everybody's going to know."
