Britney Spears is the subject of a new TV documentary airing tonight, May 15, on FOX, and the star's husband, Sam Asghari, took to Instagram to slam the new special.

Asghari shared a video on his Instagram Story, via Page Six, in response to the special produced by TMZ titled TMZ Investigates: Britney Spears: The Price of Freedom, which states that his marriage to Spears is on the rocks, amongst other claims.

The 29-year-old began, "I found it absolutely disgusting for the people who were in her life when she didn’t have a voice, they went and told her story like it was theirs. It was absolutely disgusting."

He went on to recall how Spears was treated under her conservatorship, saying, "How are you going to take the most influential person of her generation, the Princess of Pop, America’s sweetheart, and put her in prison where her father [Jamie Spears] tells her what to do, what water to drink, who to see and use her as a money-making machine?"

"All of a sudden—after 15 years when she’s free after all those gaslighting, all those things that went down—now you’re going to put her under a microscope and tell her story?” Asghari continued.

He argued that the industry is now over-analyzing Spears' actions and once again trying to take advantage, stating, "No, no, that’s also disgusting, so don’t do that, and don’t believe what you read online."

Spears' husband then advised people not to fall for the "clickbait" articles discussing Spears and her life post-conservatorship.

Asghari has been married to Spears since last June, although they first started dating in late 2016.
