Whether she's dancing in her living room, horseback riding, painting in her garden or looking loved up with beau Sam Asghari, Britney Spears' Instagram gives a rare insight into her world.

But lately the singer's grid has been filled with nearly-nude selfies, and now Spears is opening up on her decision to go topless—and the empowering freedom it has given her amid the star's ongoing conservatorship battle.

Taking to Instagram, the 'Circus' singer posted a slew of new topless photos, posing in nothing but a pair of white briefs, red cowboy boots and a red rose, which quickly racked up more than 1.6 million likes in under eight hours.

In her most candid post-to-date, Britney opened up about everything from rumors of plastic surgery to feeling self-conscious on stage and her thoughts on the #FreeBritney movement.

"I want you to understand my thoughts on exposing my skin," Brit told her 33 million followers, as she spoke freely for the first time on how she truly feels about her body.

Firstly addressing rumors of plastic surgery, the singer says, "No guys ... I didn’t get a boob job in just a week ... nor am I pregnant ... I have boobs in these pics cause I devoured food."

Talking about her decision to go topless, Spears said: "I bet you’re wondering why I’d expose my body NOW … well it’s because I was born into this world naked and I honestly feel like the weight of the [world] has been on my shoulders and it’s made me view myself that way!"

"I wanted to see myself in a lighter way … naked … like the way I was born," she continued. "Seeing myself in my purest form gives evidence that pain … hurt … tears … and heavy burdens aren’t who I am."

The 39-year-old also opened up about how touring made her feel, saying, "I feel like performing made me too self-conscious about my body and that’s not attractive," she continued. " I’ve had a billion shows where I’ve done that (shed a layer of clothing) and to my horror uhhh we’ll … sometimes I didn’t look so great … TOO MANY TIMES and it’s embarrassing as f*ck but in my imagination it felt great."

But perhaps the biggest revelation in Spears'post was the fact that the singer opened up about how the #FreeBritney movement has helped her throughout her legal battle. "The Free Britney campaign started with all your amazing pink Free Britney shirts 👚 3 years ago !!! There’s a way deeper meaning to the movement than you can ever imagine … my fans have always been so damn amazing and I love you all."

As the singer begins to regain control of her life (since her father agreed to step down as her conservator), she has begun to be more open with her fans on social media, so perhaps this post is the sign of things to come.
