British Grand Prix live stream: preview

Is Lando Norris about to upstage Max Verstappen at the British Grand Prix? The British driver almost pipped the two-time world champion to pole yesterday in a thrilling quali session at Silverstone. Can he beat Verstappen off the line in the race? It's lights out for the British Grand Prix at 3pm today, and it's free to watch on Channel 4 in the UK.

The British Grand Prix is a huge deal for most of the F1 grid. As well as Hamilton, Norris, Russell and Albon, Alpine, Aston Martin, McLaren, Mercedes, Red Bull and Williams all see Silverstone as their 'home' event, and as such it tends to serve up major racing moments.

It's here that Zhou Guanyu had his shocking crash, Hamilton, Charles Leclerc and Sergio Perez treated us to that spellbinding three-way battle, and Carlos Sainz won his first ever F1 race at the cost of any lingering hope of a championship for Ferrari – all just last year.

With Max Verstappen well out of sight in the standings, the battle to be crowned the best of the rest has suddenly caught fire. Leclerc and Norris were outstanding in Austria, but neither of them have started well here, and the Mercedes and Aston Martins have looked sluggish too.

Practice 3 is at 11.30am. And on Sunday, 9th July, it's lights-out for the British Grand Prix at 3pm. Keep scrolling to find out where to watch a free F1 live stream anywhere in the world for the 2023 British Grand Prix.
