Brigitte and Emmanuel Macron Do Off-Duty Couples Style the French Way

The President and First Lady of France bundled up in style while stepping out in Deauville, France.

As President and First Lady of France, Emmanuel and Brigitte Macron’s primary duty is to best serve their country—but off duty? The couple have been known to serve up some serious looks that are both polished and refreshingly current. (They are French, after all.) Stepping out for a stroll on the beach in Deauville, France, this weekend, the couple did it yet again, this time embracing complementary dressing by bundling up in sleek, modern outerwear pieces.

For her part, Brigitte embraced the impact of color. She chose a bright pink topcoat, styling it with a Louis Vuitton monogram-print scarf in the same matching hue. (The French fashion house is one of her favorite labels.) The First Lady allowed her coat to shine by wearing a black sweater and jeans, but chose to amp up the ensemble with her footwear: black ankle boots with a slightly studded strap. As for the President, Emmanuel wore a handsome shearling-collared leather bomber jacket, which he styled with tasteful dark denim. Blue low-top sneakers pulled it all together with a cool finish.
