Brighton Resort Making Progress On New 6-Person Chairlift

Brighton Resort, Utah, is making progress on the Crest 6, a new six-seater high-speed chairlift opening to skiers during the 2023-2024 winter season.

Here's an update on the under-construction lift from Brighton.

"Crest 6 Update: The top terminal of Crest has been removed and the construction on the new Crest 6 is underway. Stay tuned for more updates this summer as Crest 6, Utah’s first D-line 6 person chair, is installed to give you an even better riding experience next season."

The Crest 6 will replace the aging Crest four-seater, which serves Brighton's iconic terrain parks.

Improvements associated with the new lift include increased carrying capacity, a 5.3-minute travel time, a conveyor loading system, and a monitor at the base station which will project daily Brighton resort updates. Ideally, the higher-capacity upgraded chair will reduce skier traffic in the area, as the Crest chair is often overworked on busy days.

Once completed, The Crest 6 will be the first six-seater Doppelmayr D-Line in Utah.
