Brighton Resort Announces Opening For Night Skiing

There's skiing, and then there are skiing experiences. Sitting in the hot tub after a long day of leg-burning moguls. Drinking a beer at the summit after a long boot-pack up. Riding the lift at night.

Brighton Resort in Utah, which receives 500 inches of snowfall annually, offers the latter, and apparently the time is now to enjoy this specific style of skiing, after hours.

Officials at Brighton announced that "it’s almost time to ride under the lights, night riding opens for the season next Friday, December 15th."

"We can’t wait for you to enjoy Crest 6, Snake Creek, Majestic and Explorer at night this season."

Snake Creek is new from last season. According to Brighton, they "opened up Snake Creek for night riding last season and we heard your feedback – MORE LIGHTS!"

"This season, you can now shred Ziggy and Pine Martin under the stars in addition to last season's Snake Creek, Crest Express, Majestic and Explorer runs."

Night skiing is open from 4pm to 9pm, perfect for people working 9-5s, or kids in school during the day.

Parking is a hassle just about everywhere in Utah, but Brighton noted that guests need not be concerned because parking reservations are not required after 1pm. Score!

"If you don’t have a Twilight Pass or any of other season passes, check out our Night 5 Pack. 5 individual, completely transferrable, direct to lift NIGHT tickets. Come 5 different nights or use them all in one go and bring your go-to ski crew along for the ride. NO BLACKOUT DATES!"

Seems like a pretty sweet deal. Just remember to switch out your lenses--it's no bluebird day, it's a... moon-owl night?
