Bright yellow is the biggest red carpet trend at the 2018 Emmy Awards

Many stars were looking like a snack at the 2018 Emmys Awards, and when we say snack, we literally mean a slice of American cheese. Multiple celebs (and even their partners) worked the red carpet (which was actually gold) in a bold shade of yellow, and we are living for this moment in awards ceremony history. While the color can be hard to pull off for some people, it’s well worth the risk. Yellow is the color of joy, and if a celeb or their show is being nominated for an Emmy, why not strut their stuff in a happy shade?

According to the psychic and author of Your Life in Color: Empowering Your Soul with the Energy of Color, Dougall Fraser, yellow is also a color that can help with learning. In an Instagram photo, Fraser says that if you’re drawn to yellow, it may be a “nudge from the universe that you should pick up a new book or look into learning something you’re interested in.” Perhaps these celebs might take up a new skill? We’d be into it.

Let’s see the stars boldly wearing the shade at this year’s Emmys.

Abbi Jacobson

While Ilana Glazer is a neutral goddess (with a pop of color), Abbi is striking in canary yellow.

Sophie Hunter

Super ’70s cult vibes from Sophie Hunter. Obsessed.

Alison Brie

Alison’s Miu Miu cutout gown? *chef’s kiss*

Judith Light

Bow down to Mama Judith and her glorious caped ensemble.

Tatiana Maslany

Love the bumblebee vibes she has going on here.

Gwendoline Christie

Gwendoline Christie is a long way from her dark and dreary Game of Thrones color palette.

Gaten Matarazzo

The Stranger Things star looked dapper in his mustard blazer.

Adina Porter

The American Horror Story actress killed it in her long silky gown.

RuPaul

Special shoutout to RuPaul’s yellow shoes!
