This Bright and Bold Home Collection Is All About the Latest Pinterest Trend
Terrazzo: It’s what’s hot in home decor. In fact, Pinterest saves for terrazzo have increased 316 percent over the past year. The composite, confetti-like flooring material that was oh-so-popular in the ’70s is showing up everywhere these days, even in furniture. Designer Anna Horvath embraces the terrazzo trend beautifully in her latest bright and bold furniture collection “Collezione L!Puff.”
The five-piece collection for Anna James featuring bright red and cobalt blue is inspired by minimalism and post-modern design and, of course, terrazzo, which Horvath, founder of Anna James, says is fun and functional. “People need fun,” she tells Brit + Co. “I find [terrazzo] a great surface material. For my collection, I was looking for a material that can be combined with the strong colored canvas and particle board. It gave me a great texture and a great combination.”
Horvath says it gives the overall aesthetic of her collection a “colorful, bright, and playful world filled with sarcasm.” How great would these pieces look peppered against otherwise neutral decor for a fun pop of color and personality?
The rocking chair ($575) and small stool ($144) can be ordered now and will be ready by the end of February or March. The prices and availability dates of the other pieces, including a chair, mirror with stand, and table, are still being determined as she’s currently in talks with companies about the production of the terrazzo elements.
