Brie Larson Showed Off Her Training Bruises While Recovering in a Bikini

Brie Larson has been training hard—and she has the battle scars to prove it. In a new Instagram post, the Captain Marvel star proudly showed off a few bruises from all the training she's been doing lately, which is probably why she recently took some time to unwind, posing while relaxing on the floor in a swimsuit. "Summer is here but bruises from training are in every season 😂," she captioned her post.

Between all the training she does for films and the work she puts in at the gym on the reg, it's no big surprise Larson is staying fit. She also frequently shares her workouts on IG, where you can see her crush some of her go-to moves, including weighted squats, kettlebell squats, and planks with added weights.


She also enjoys the occasional workout challenge like one-armed pull-ups.


Larson's nutritionist Dr. Philip Goglia shared a few pointers on how she fuels up to stay energized for her movie roles and personal workouts. For starters, she begins her mornings with a teaspoon of almond butter and all-fruit jam or preserves before heading to the gym. “The most recent science has shown that a little bit of fat and a little bit of simple sugar will actually increase intensity rate while you train early in the morning,” Goglia explained to People.

Some of her favorite post-workout meals include eggs and protein shakes. She also snacks on small portions of fruit afterwards. Goglia added that for lunch, Larson eats lean meats like chicken with veggies followed by two more "bridge meals" before dinner. Then, she'll have more fruit.
