Phoebe Dynevor, 28, is exchanging the Regency-era ball gowns she wore as Daphne in Bridgerton for a blue tailored power suit in the second trailer for the upcoming Netflix movie, Fair Play.

This week, Netflix released a one-minute teaser for the new romantic thriller on its official YouTube channel. The video starts with a young woman named Emily (Dynevor) kissing her lover, Luke (Alden Ehrenreich), whom she is secretly in a relationship with.

“I love you so much,” he says in the clip. “I wish we could tell the whole world.”

Dynevor couldn’t look more different from her Bridgerton character, from her office attire to her neat updo.

In the film, it seems the couple is working for an investment company, which prohibits its employees from dating each other. But, their steamy romance soon takes a turn for the worse when Emily gets promoted over Luke to a higher position.

“You know it's just a game,” Emily says to her secret lover, to which Luke replies, “And you play it very well.”

Fair Play first debuted at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, where it received rave reviews from critics and audiences alike. According to the trailer, Fair Play will debut in theaters everywhere on September 29, 2023, and is set to premiere later on Netflix on October 6.
