"Bridgerton" Renewed for Seasons 3 and 4 Before Season 2's Release

As the Ton makes preparations for the upcoming matching season, it looks like they'll be able to get a head start on future seasons as well.
In a new message from Lady Whistledown, Netflix revealed that Bridgerton has been renewed for seasons 3 and 4. This double renewal comes right before the cast reunites to start filming for season 2.

"From the first time I read Julia Quinn’s delicious Bridgerton series, I knew these were stories that would captivate a viewing audience. But the evolution of this adaptation would not be a success without the many significant contributions of the entire Shondaland team," executive producer Shonda Rhimes said in a press release. "This two-season pickup is a strong vote of confidence in our work and I feel incredibly grateful to have partners as collaborative and creative as Netflix. Betsy and I are thrilled to have the opportunity to continue bringing the world of Bridgerton to a worldwide audience."
Series creator and showrunner Chris Van Dusen took to Twitter after the renewal news was revealed.

Filming for season 2 is set to to begin shortly and there's a good chance that these early renewals will allow production on future seasons to start sooner than normal.
Season 2 of Bridgerton will follow Anthony Bridgerton as he finds love after his heartbreak in season 1. If the upcoming seasons continue to follow the books, then we will see Colin and Benedict's love stories coming to the small screen really soon.
