Bridgerton fans are looking for answers from Lady Whistledown after conflicting reports from the cast were posted on social media on the current status of season 2.

It all started when Luke Newton, who plays Colin Bridgerton, posted photos of him and co-star Jonathan Bailey, who plays Anthony Bridgerton. In the photo, the two are in costume and riding horses on set. As a refresher, Colin headed off on tour at the end of season 1, and Anthony will be getting a lot more screentime as season 2 follows his journey in finding love.

"The boys are back in town 🎵," he wrote.

Fans quickly became excited for season two and seeing their favorite Bridgerton brothers back together again, especially as filming has been rumored to begin again in March 2021.

This is when it got confusing. Nicola Couglin, AKA Penelope Featherington and the one and only Lady Whistledown, tweeted out that season 2 hasn't started filming just yet.

"Not yet! Wigs and dresses yet to be made but soon!" she wrote on Twitter, responding to a report that said that season 2 production has begun.

Since then, Luke updated post with the hashtags " #THROWBACK #SEASON1" in all caps to further show that they're not currently filming.

As for Nicola's tweet, it makes total sense that Lady Whistledown herself would be the one to spill what's really going on at the Ton. Here's hoping that we'll be seeing actual sneak peaks from season 2 pretty soon, because we definitely can't wait to see what happens next to our favorite members of British high society.
