The 'Brides' 2024 Wedding Color of the Year Looks Stylish In Homes, Too

Brides has released their 2024 Wedding Color of the Year in collaboration with Minted, and it falls in line with many of the interior designers' choices we've seen this year: a classy, cobalt blue that feels fresh and timeless all at once. Named Marseille Bleu for the coastal city in France it was inspired by, the color also takes influence from French painter Yves Klein, who's known for using bright blue in his works. 

Together, Minted and Brides seek to ease the planning process with their Wedding Color of the Year by helping happy couples find an on-trend color theme that won’t go out of style by the time of their event. The lead up to the big day can take a good amount of time, so Marseille Bleu is designed to stay relevant in 2024 and beyond.

The team landed on the deep blue shade through analyzing emerging trends, overdone ideas, and what colors they've seen pop up on ready-to-wear and bridal runways. And after a year of Barbie pinks, it offers a much-needed change of pace.
