About Brent Cobb
Brent Cobb grew up in Ellaville, Georgia, where he was encouraged by his parents – especially his songwriting father – to pick up a guitar. Following the advice of Luke Bryan, he moved to Nashville, where he used his talent to write hit songs for everyone from Kenny Chesney to Miranda Lambert, but now he’s known as a Grammy-nominated artist and performer all his own. In 2022, he produced a gospel record based on a lot of the music he grew up with in the Baptist church. And now his latest album, Southern Star, stands as a tribute to both his small-town Georgia roots and the people he’s lost.

Quotes From Brent Cobb
"I always wanted to make a gospel album because people like Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, and all my heroes…George Jones, Elvis, all made gospel albums at some point in their career. And really, nobody gave me any flack." - Brent Cobb
"And it's been such a debate for so long, like what's country music? Is that country music? Well, just like the chorus says. Maybe it left. Maybe it didn't. Maybe it was found. Who really knows? But I do know that some good things are happening now, you know? I'm glad that I'm around.

Brent Cobb
"I always say that I was born in Americus, Georgia, I grew up Ellaville, and I was raised in Richland, which is Jimmy Carter country. It's 10 minutes down the road from Plains. Grew up going to Country Days Plains Street Dance every year." - Brent Cobb
